Banker Sean scores new job with IFA
The head of personal banking at Ulster Bank is joining the Irish Football Association (IFA) as its first chief operating officer.
Sean Murphy, a keen football fan, will end more than two decades with the bank when he joins the IFA. He was regional manager of the bank's branches here, and in October 2015 became regional managing director of branch and private banking.
Mr Murphy said he was looking forward to combining his two passions: football and finance. And he'll be joining another face from the world of banking, as the IFA's chairman is Gerry Mallon, the former head of Danske Bank, who is making the move to Tesco Bank this year.
