BDO Ireland in acquisition of consulting firm

Professional services firm BDO Ireland has bought Irish management consulting firm Eaton Square.

Following the agreement - financial details of which have not been disclosed - the company will operate as BDO Eaton Square.

The new business unit will create up to 100 new management consultant jobs, and is aiming to deliver 30% year-on-year growth over a three year period, a statement from the company said.

The additional jobs, which will bring the company workforce to 145, will be located across BDO Eaton Square's locations in Dublin, Cork and Limerick.

In addition, the company is aiming to achieve €20m (£17.5m) in annual revenues over the three year period.

"Our motive in merging our existing consulting business with Eaton Square is to create a powerful new force in management consulting, a force that is partner led and client focused," said Michael Costello, managing partner at BDO Ireland.

Founded in 2012, Eaton Square was set up to provide a consulting services across a variety of areas including organisation design and strategy development.
