Leaders from across the Belfast region are hoping to use Northern Ireland’s post-Brexit status to help attract global investors at a commercial property conference this week.
The Renewed Ambition delegation has travelled to Leeds for the UK Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum to showcase investment opportunities in the city to investors, occupiers and government bodies.
The event from Tuesday to Thursday will focus on levelling up across the UK and themes including how greener places can be cultivated while driving inward investment.
The delegation will discuss Belfast region’s potential to take advantage of its dual market access under the protocol, the transition to a green economy and the digital revolution.
They will present a session — Belfast Region: A £1bn Decade of Opportunity — which they said would set out the “huge potential” of the area. The delegation includes Wrightbus chief Buta Atwal, who will discuss the company’s hydrogen buses.
