Belfast Harbour's cruise ship terminal a step closer
A £15m cruise ship terminal to deal with Northern Ireland's surge in visitor numbers has inched closer to becoming a reality. Belfast Harbour submitted a planning application last year for a "multi-purpose facility for berthing of cruise ships" at Belfast Lough.
It is due to be discussed by Belfast City Council next week, before a decision is made by the Department for Infrastructure.
Luxury liners are worth £15m a year to the local economy.
