By John Mulgrew

A Belfast IT firm is creating 10 jobs as part of an £800,000 investment.

Web development business Flint Studios works in the e-commerce, insurance, hospitality, aviation and financial services sectors. The company currently employs 28 staff.

Invest NI is offering £75,000 towards creating the new roles, which include positions in software development and web design.

Managing director Jeremy Biggerstaff said: "We have established an award-winning team that listens to the needs of our clients and delivers bespoke web solutions that enhance the online profile of clients with measured results that exceed expectations time and time again.

"Our aim is to more than double our sales in Great Britain. Working in a fast-moving industry such as web solutions, it is crucially important we have the resources available to meet this increase in the demand for our services.

"We look forward to growing and expanding the capabilities of the team with the support from Invest NI and focusing our efforts on extending our services into new markets."

Brian Dolaghan, Invest NI's director of technology and services, added: "Flint Studios is an award-winning web solutions provider embarking on an expansion to help it increase its export sales and move its business into the next phase of its ambitious growth strategy.

"In 2014 we supported Flint Studios to create 13 jobs and the company's recent success has now led to this further expansion. The new roles will generate over £350,000 of additional annual salaries."
