Bike firm Chain Reaction Cycles set to create 20 new jobs

By Christine Carrigan

Chain Reaction Cycles has said it is recruiting for 30 roles in NI, including 20 newly-created jobs.

The new positions include technical, e-commerce and software roles, as well as customer service, marketing and operations positions.

Originally a family business launched in 1985 in Ballyclare, Co Antrim, Chain Reaction Cycles merged with Portsmouth-based company Wiggle in 2016 to create WiggleCRC.

Following the merger with Wiggle, Chain Reaction Cycles relocated stock and warehouse activities to Wolverhampton.

The company operates from four locations in Northern Ireland, including a store on Belfast's Boucher Road, a warehouse and workshop facility in Whitepark, Ballyclare, a technical development centre in Belfast City Centre, and its recently completed HQ in Mallusk.

Remarking on the plan to recruit 30 people, house brands director Michael Cowan said: "It's always encouraging to announce new roles and continue to expand the business.

"Chain Reaction Cycles has always been fixated on innovation and development, and these roles present an incredible opportunity for those hoping to progress their careers."
