Northern Ireland is gearing up for annual agricultural extravaganza the Balmoral Show, which starts tomorrow.

Last night, farmers including Maggie McQuiston were getting their livestock ready for display at the show, which is supported by Ulster Bank.

The event marks its 150th anniversary this year, with celebrations including a special photographic exhibition.

It will be the first Balmoral Show for Alan Crowe, the new chief executive of organiser the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society.

The show is expected to attract around 115,000 people. Meanwhile, motorcyle race the North West 200 starts with a practice race today.
