Buyer sought for 1840s Poor Law Hospital in online auction
A former Poor Law Hospital in Co Fermanagh is on sale at an auction today.
The old hospital at Castlebalfour in Lisnaskea has a maximum reserve of £50,000.
It's among the lots for sale at an online auction being held by commercial property agents Osborne King.
The workhouse's history stretches back to the time of the famine when it offered aid for up to 500 poverty-stricken people. It is believed to have operated until the 1940s.
Now the vacant building, which sits on a site of more than one acre, is available for developers wishing to restore the Grade B-listed building.
Among the other lots in the auction are a former furniture store in Ballymena, and a former travel agency in Dunmurry Village.
A trading filling station and convenience store in Co Armagh is also among the listings, with a maximum reserve of £250,000.

The online auction will take place today at 9am. Osborne King's next online auction event will take place on October 9.
