Campaign tees-off to attract American golfers to NI home of 2019 Open
Tourism Ireland has launched its latest golf campaign in America as the Masters begins in the US and ahead of the arrival to Northern Ireland of the Open next year.
The campaign includes advertising about Northern Ireland's golf attractions in an online campaign on www.golfchannel.com.
Tourism Ireland aims to build on its successful Home of Champions campaign, reminding golfers across the US about the courses where Northern Ireland's Major champions Rory McIlroy, Graeme McDowell and Darren Clarke perfected the sport.
It's also invited golf writers to visit the province.
Alison Metcalfe, Tourism Ireland's head of North America, said: "Tourism Ireland has an extensive marketing programme under way this year, to highlight our world-class golf and encourage more Americans to consider a golfing vacation on the island of Ireland.
"In particular, we are highlighting the 2018 Irish Open at Ballyliffin and the 148th Open which takes place at Royal Portrush next year."
