A retail and catering business in the north west of Northern Ireland has reopened two stores following a £2m-plus investment.

Moran's said that it has invested £1.6m in its Centra convenience store and service station on Strand Road in Londonderry.

The existing store was demolished and rebuilt, and its retail space has been increased to 3,500 sq ft.

The family business has also spent £400,000 on its Centra in Coleraine, adding 10 new jobs and improving its retail and food business.

And the company's third store - a SuperValu in Ballykelly, Co Londonderry - is also being redeveloped in a £350,000 investment which will add five new jobs.

The investment programme has been supported by Ulster Bank.
