First look at Belfast's new Novelli restaurant in riverside Marriott hotel

By John Mulgrew

This is what Ireland's first Jean Christophe-Novelli restaurant will look like when it opens its doors in Belfast early next year.

The celebrity chef's first foray in Ireland will be based at the ground floor of the under-construction AC by Marriott hotel, as part of Belfast's Harbour's City Quays development.

The hotel will feature a 100-seat restaurant, bar, lounge, gym and meeting rooms.

Belfast Harbour said the restaurant will offer a "brasserie menu" with "French flair".

The French chef already operates a number of other restaurants in the UK.

Meanwhile, one of Belfast Harbour's major office developments looks set to get a new mixed-use cafe and retail business.

The City Quays 2 building, which is almost completed, will soon play host to UTV and Tullett Prebon. According to newly revealed plans, the large ground floor is could become a shop and hot food bar.
