Friends open new property agency in east Belfast
Two friends and business partners, both under the age of 30, have opened a new estate agency in Belfast, employing six staff.
Natasha Rodgers and Kirsty Finney set up Rodgers & Finney in what is believed to be the first new estate agency to open here for many years.
Both have a background in property. Ms Finney (29) was awarded Young Agent of the Year 2016/2017 by Property News, while Ms Rodgers has years of experience as a family member of the Rodgers and Browne property firm.
Ms Finney told the Belfast Telegraph that the friends wanted to launch a service that would have its customers "shouting from the rooftops".
"We want to do it right and provide a service to clients that gets us referrals," she said.
"We want people to say they sold their home, or bought a home with us, and it was a great experience.
"Too often you hear many buyers talking about bad service and we want to change that."
Rodgers & Finney opened its doors in a soft launch in Ballyhackamore just four weeks ago and already business is going "brilliantly", Ms Finney said.
"We're in our fourth week and it's been amazing. We've sold two properties and we're just about to secure a sale on another," she said.
Ballyhackamore was chosen as the base for the business because of its high concentration of estate agents.
Business partner Natasha Rodgers added: "While our business is new, we do have many years of experience and our own unique style of service.
"No two days are the same and from sourcing homes for businesses, individuals and sports stars to making sure a new mover to the city can settle quickly, we both get immense satisfaction from working with people to buy a house and make it their home.
"Kirsty and I are both under 30 so we're really proud to now have our own business with our names above the door."
"It is still early days but we would definitely love to say, in a couple of years, that we are opening another office," Ms Finney added.
