Global law firm opens NI office after takeover
Global law firm DAC Beachcroft has opened its first offices in Northern Ireland after acquiring Belfast insurance specialist McKinty and Wright Solicitors.
The move sees 17 solicitors, including six partners, based at Montgomery House formally join the legal group's 2,300 strong global workforce. DAC Beachcroft said its Northern Irish team will focus on litigation, professional negligence and risk management.
It joins offices in Dublin and 10 UK cities. In total, the group has 60 offices around the world.
"Opening in Belfast is a strategic move for us in direct response to demand from our clients," said David Pollitt, DAC Beachcroft's managing partner.
"For the insurance sector, in particular, Northern Ireland is an important location, and for us to have a presence across all jurisdictions in the UK means we can better serve our clients."
