Graham Construction in £4.5m deal to work on new 'hotel-like' offices
A Co Down construction firm has won a £4.5m contract to help turn Eagle Star House in Belfast into 'hotel-like' flexible workspace.
Graham Construction will carry out the work on the Upper Queen Street building for property development firm Magell Limited, a third generation family business based in Ballymena.
Magell will then carry out refurbishment of Beaufort House on Wellington Place in Belfast.
Graham, which is based in Hillsborough, will work on the inside and exterior of Eagle Star House.
The project - costing a total of £5.5m - will convert the offices into workspace made up of 500 desks over 30,000 sq ft. It's due for completion early next year.
Magell said its work on Eagle Star House and Beaufort House combined will make it the biggest supplier of flexible workspace in Northern Ireland.
Flexible workspace provision has become a competitive market in Belfast, thanks to the emergence of providers including Glandore in Arthur Street, Clockwise at River House in High Street and Scottish Provident Building in Donegall Square.

He said that combined, Eagle Star House and Beaufort House will offer over 65,000 sq ft of space, with 1,100 desks.
Mr Walker added that there would be further facilities.

"Meeting rooms, phone booths, focus rooms, offices, central lounge areas, event space, a large roof terrace, sofas and a cafe will make for a superior working environment complete.
