International law firm announces new recruits and promotions in Belfast city office

Pinsent Masons, the international law firm, has announced new recruits and promotions at its Belfast office.

Richard Masters, who is originally from Lisburn and the firm's chairman in Scotland and Northern Ireland, will now also head up the Belfast corporate team.

Mr Masters was formerly managing partner at McGrigors, which was acquired by Pinsent Masons six years ago.

Michael Hamill joins Richard Masters in the corporate department as senior associate, where he will work alongside newly-promoted senior associate Lisa Early.

And in the property department, Jonathan O'Hagan has been appointed senior associate, while Ross Townsley joins as an associate. Nicola McKane, David McGuinness, and Niall McCavitt are all joining as solicitors.

In banking, Seana Donaghy has been promoted to senior associate, with Ben Semple joining as a paralegal.

The litigation and regulatory team is growing with the appointment of a paralegal, Emma Swan.

And John Hart is now business development manager with an expanding media relations remit for the firm's new Dublin office.

Andrea McIlory-Rose, head of Belfast office, said: "The strength of our firm offering, and investment in technology, means we can provide our clients with outstanding service unparalleled in a regional market such as Northern Ireland.

"We're proud that reputation was recently recognised by the accolade of The Lawyer Magazine's Law Firm of the Year 2018."
