IT entrepreneur is Innovation Founder 2019

Tech entrepreneur Denis Murphy is today named as Catalyst's Innovation Founder for 2019.

Denis is co-founder and chief executive of Northern Ireland cloud service company Anaeko and has more than 20 years' experience in IT.

He founded Mobile Cohesion and telecoms software company Apion, sold in 1999 to Phone.com for $239m.

The Bank of Ireland UK Innovation Founder award is given to a person who has achieved success in founding, leading or building a celebrated innovative business.

The award will be presented to Mr Murphy at the final of the Invent Awards on October 10 at ICC Belfast.

The awards are run by Catalyst Inc, the hub for tech businesses in Belfast and Londonderry.
