Shares in International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), a rival to Kerry Group for the $20bn (£15bn) DuPont deal, have fallen by almost 6% in three days.

New York City-headquartered IFF has emerged as contender for the nutrition arm of DuPont, but analysts said IFF's falling share price suggested that investors were not comfortable with the idea of the deal.

Shares in Kerry Group, which owns four facilities in Northern Ireland, are down around 2% since the start of the week.

Talks between DuPont and both Kerry and IFF are understood to be ongoing, according to Bloomberg.

A deal could be finalised before the end of the year.
