Law firm Fieldfisher doubles space amid plan to take on 40 more staff
European law firm Fieldfisher is doubling the size of its Belfast office and hiring nearly 40 new staff.
The company is taking another 3,000 sq ft of space in the Titanic Quarter, to accommodate 38 new staff. It has signed a new lease with building landlord Robinson Family Ltd.
Its Belfast office carries out support work for other international branches of the firm.
It merged with Northern Ireland's Donaldson Legal Consulting in 2017 and Irish firm McDowell Purcell earlier this year.
In Belfast, it has a total of 68 staff, with 40 in Titanic Quarter and 28 at Donaldson Legal Consulting in Holywood.
Fieldfisher opened its legal solutions hub, which provides legal support for its 25 offices in the UK, Europe, China and California, in August last year.
There were just eight staff when it opened.

Staff in the hub include legal professionals as well as support staff working in the firm's anti-money laundering, secretarial, IT and legal tech functions.
At the minute it is recruiting for 15 staff, and ultimately plans to increase the workforce in its hub to 125 over the next two years.
Michael Chissick, managing partner at Fieldfisher, said: "The Belfast Hub allows us to be one of the most competitive players in the global legal market.
"I look forward to meeting the new members of our Belfast team as we take advantage of the city's rich talent pool to grow the hub over the coming months and years."
