Lisburn firm OKTO Technologies in £10.5m luxury smart home deals
A Lisburn-based tech firm has won four contracts in London worth £10.5m.
OKTO Technologies said the deals will involve it developing and delivering its own 'smart building technologies' to residential developments currently under construction in the West End.
The company specialises in providing tech solutions for ultra-luxury homes.
Compared to a virtual butler, OKTO's systems enable occupants to control everything from lighting and climate to audio/visual and IT.
The latest contracts include the provision of 'lifestyle technology systems integration' for 25 new apartments and penthouses at The Peninsula Hotel and Residences, where OKTO has been appointed by the Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotel Group, along with Prime Developments and UK contractor, Sir Robert McAlpine.
OKTO has also been appointed by luxury developer Clivedale London to design and install systems for 23 luxury apartments for Mayfair Park Residences.
Another deal with property developer CPC Group will see the Lisburn company deliver its full suite of building technology systems to Duke's Lodge, the largest new residential development in Holland Park.

"These are highly significant contract wins for OKTO and reflect the unique nature of the technologies we're developing and the solutions we're delivering," said OKTO owner Philip Dowds.
"We've always been highly regarded as AV experts - and this remains part of our service offering - but we now operate on a completely different level.
"Our team of experts in Northern Ireland have successfully harnessed Artificial Intelligence and developed building management systems which meet the needs of the world's top property developers.
"As such we've earned our reputation as industry pioneers."
