IT company Xperience has reported 32% year-on-year growth on the back of a raft of new jobs.

The Lisburn firm, one of Northern Ireland's longest established companies in the sector, marked its landmark 50th year with a 27% expansion of its workforce to 111 people.

The business said the growth followed a sharp increase in market demand for what it called smart IT solutions.

Ten new staff have already been taken on, with recruitment ongoing for a further 12 people, including in graduate and engineering roles.

Xperience has also reported an additional £1.5m in new customer sales since the start of the year.

The group's managing director, Iain O'Kane, said the firm was performing strongly.

"This is an exciting time for Xperience Group as we have high expectations over the next five years from both organic and acquisitive growth and we are delighted about our plans for adding additional staff," he added.

"Welcoming the best technology talent to our team in Northern Ireland is key to bringing the most innovative solutions to our clients.

"Since starting 50 years ago in Northern Ireland, we have seen a continuous uptake in technology adoption, including a 30% increase in cloud adoption since 2015.

"Every day we see how our clients, across a wide range of industries, benefit from implementing cloud-based technology and IT solutions.

"We look forward to further educating the business community on how we can make computing simple."

The firm said the recent introduction of its third cloud computing platform would help it build on the spike in cloud adoption seen since 2015.
