London asks Northern Ireland firms to join overseas delegations
The Lord Mayor of London is urging firms in Belfast and Londonderry to join him on trade missions abroad.
William Russell, who represents the City of London and the UK's financial and professional services industry, is visiting Northern Ireland with the aim of boosting its ties with the City.
He said Belfast and Derry were important locations in the City's strategy to strengthen links across the UK and said businesses here should use City of London's international programmes to grow and expand.
"That's why my message to local firms is clear: join me on overseas delegations and join me at international events in the City."
Mr Russell said that working closely together was all the more important as the UK's departure from the EU looms.
"Together we are greater than the sum of our parts," he added.
