Londonderry-based group Learning Pool acquires its third company in three years
Londonderrry company Learning Pool has acquired Oxford-based HT2 Labs.
It represents the third acquisition by the north-west e-learning firm in the past three years and brings its workforce to 185.
Paul McElvaney's company, which has grown into one of UK's largest providers of online learning solutions, previously acquired Mind Click in Nottingham and MediaCorp in Glasgow.
Led by Dr Ben Bretts, HT2 Labs is behind products including Curatr and Learning Locker, which has been installed more than 12,000 times globally.
Learning Pool is backed by Carlyle Cardinal Ireland, an investment fund sponsored by The Carlyle Group and Cardinal Capital Group.

The chief executive said Ben Betts would reinvest in Learning Pool as part of the transaction and join the group's executive team as chief product officer with lead responsibility for our innovation strategy.
