Managing director of Northern Ireland housing firm leaves post

By Margaret Canning

The managing director of one of Northern Ireland's most successful housebuilders has left the company.

Jamesy Hagan (35), of Hagan Homes, which is based in Ballyclare, has left the firm co-founded by his father, James.

In its latest accounts, the firm reported turnover of £18.7m, up from £16.7m the year before.

A spokeswoman for the company said it was announcing the resignation of Mr Hagan with "sadness and gratitude".

"Jamesy joined Hagan Homes as a site foreman in 2004 and quickly progressed through the company to become managing director in 2009.

"He has played an important role in the development and success of Hagan Homes, through some of its most difficult years.

"We cannot thank Jamesy enough for the dedication, enthusiasm and motivation he has given to the company over the last 14 years.

"While we will miss him and his leadership, we wish Jamesy the best of luck in his future business ventures."
