A director at MJM Group, which has interests ranging from marine refurbishment to property, has been appointed to lead a forum of young business bosses.
Naoimh McAteer is the new chair of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Northern Ireland Young Directors Forum.
Mrs McAteer, whose father Brian McConville founded MJM Group, was also the winner of the IoD NI's young director of the year award.
She said it was a great honour to lead the group in the position, which she will fill for a year.
"I am delighted to take up this role in the Young Directors Forum.
"It is good to meet with other directors through this forum to get different perspectives, see how they are adding value to their businesses and ultimately to hear their stories.
"While we might operate in different sectors with a different client base, many of us have the same challenges and opportunities to manage or contend with."
She said the IoD had been a "fantastic" organisation to get involved with, as it helped young directors remain agile.
MJM Group was set up 35 years ago. It now consists of global cruise ship outfitter MJM Marine, Antrim interior specialist Mivan and Topglass, a glazing specialist business in Toomebridge.
The company also has diverse property interests, including Damolly Retail Park in Newry which it acquired for £30m three years ago.
In the most recent company accounts for MJM Marine, its pre-tax profits had more than doubled from £7.9m to £17.4m, while revenue was up by 97.3% to £97.7m.
