Musgrave to provide more 'value' items

By Staff Reporter

Retail giant Musgrave has said it's spending more on its value offerings this year to increase money-saving opportunities for customers.

The Cork-based firm, which owns SuperValu and Centra stores, said it was increasing its investment in lower-cost items by 10%.

Michael McCormack, managing director of Musgrave, said: "We have listened to our customers who are telling us they want better value now, without any compromise on quality.

"They want to see us respond to the uncertainty around Brexit and how it will affect prices by committing to a value strategy that will allow them to make savings on quality food and drink ranges."

He said the company would start to introduce more than 200 special offers in both Super Valu and Centra stores, and would extend own-brand ranges.
