New chief for Titanic Belfast

By Margaret Canning

The former deputy chief executive of Titanic Belfast has now stepped into the top job. Judith Owens, who has worked at the attraction since it opened in 2012, is succeeding Tim Husbands.

She's the latest businesswoman to fill a top role in the tourism and events sector, after Catherine Toolan was appointed Waterfront Hall and Ulster Hall managing director last year.

Before joining Titanic Belfast, she was head of operations and house manager at the Waterfront and Ulster Hall. Mr Husbands left to take up a new role as chief executive at Westport House, a historic attraction in Co Mayo.
