Newry software and consulting firm First Derivatives has opened a new office in Dublin city centre.

The company, which is listed on the Alternative Investment Market, said the office opening is a result of significant growth across the group in the Dublin market in recent years.

And it said the premises at George's Quay also left room to expand in the future.

Company founder Brian Conlon died after a short illness earlier this year.

And executive chairman Seamus Keating said Mr Conlon's vision was being realised following new delivery projects and new bank clients.

He added: "The new office provides an impressive platform for both our staff and clients as we enter the next phase of expansion within the Irish market."
