Fintech firm Dotsys is to add 10 software programmers and open a new office in Belfast.

The company, part of the Coleraine-based MCL InsureTech group,  provides financial software solutions to the financial services industry.

It employs 14 people, but intends to grow considerably in the next year.

Gary McClarty, chief executive of MCL InsureTech, said the fintech subsidiary needs software developers for both its Coleraine base and the new Belfast premises, due to open in the coming months.

"With expertise built up over 30 years, we have been able to develop and innovate cloud-based technologies, enabling our customers to handle large volumes of business in the most cost-effective and profitable way," he said.

Last year MCL InsureTech announced it had increased turnover by almost £1m to £13.8m for the year to March 31 2018, with pre-tax profits standing at £5.6m.

The chief executive said: "With the recent expansion of IT and the development of new web-based applications, our business is growing.

"We are now looking to recruit 10 software developers to develop new and existing products for the insurance and retail industries.

"We are looking for individuals who are keen to enter a culture of strong teamwork, quality, innovation, customer focus and continuous development."

He added: "We invest in our people. We want them to be the best they can be, and we want them to have a skillset that keeps pace with the evolving technological environment we live in."
