Northern Ireland glamping pod firm creates 10 new jobs

By Christine Carrigan

A Northern Ireland firm which makes pods for 'glamorous' camping has created 10 new jobs in Co Down.

Intupod, which creates aluminium glamping pods for locations throughout Britain and Ireland, has attracted around £1.5m in investment over the past two years. The investment has allowed the company to leave its incubator space in the Innovation Factory in west Belfast and move into a 20,000 sq ft factory in Carryduff Business Park.

Intupod commercial director David Maxwell said: "The Innovation Factory allowed us to grow.

"It was a great space with great facilities and staff.

"We took elements of the Innovation Factory environment and transferred it to our new premises, to give our guys a great place to work."
