Northern Ireland IT giant Novosco, which was recently sold for £70m, has completed a major project for a motor dealer in the Republic. The contract for Windsor Motors, one of the largest approved dealers for Nissan, Opel, Renault, Dacia and Peugeot in Ireland, has been valued at €150,000 (£130,000).

Novosco has carried out work including supporting Windsor Motors' transition to the Cloud.

Windsor Motors has around 300 IT users across headquarters and dealerships in Dublin, Galway, Meath and Wicklow. User numbers will increase to 320 later this year when it opens its 17th location.

Novosco has an office in Dublin as well as its Belfast base. Last month it announced its sale to German business CANCOM Group.

Enda Martin, head of IT at Windsor Motors, said: "We have worked with Novosco for many years and were delighted to work with them on this latest contract. IT is a central part of our operations and Novosco's expertise in Cloud and managed services has added considerable value to us."
