Northern Ireland Railways timetable changes announced by Translink
Translink has announced changes to its NI Railways train services.
It is increasing capacity on commuter services as well as at weekends, it says to meet customer demand.
On the Larne there will be extra trains leaving Whitehead at 6.45am and Carrickfergus at 7.20am. The 6.30am service from Whitehead will now start from Larne Harbour at 06.05am Monday to Friday and on Saturday morning, the 7.45am service from Whitehead will start from Larne Harbour at 7.25am.
A new night time service is being introduced on the Belfast to Larne Harbour Line each Monday to Saturday at 10.15pm.
A 6.20am weekday departure from Portadown will continue through to Londonderry, facilitating University of Ulster students at Coleraine and Magee campuses.
The 6.40am Portadown to Great Victoria Street service will run express from Lisburn through Monday to Friday, while a new 7.06am Lisburn to Great Victoria Street will stop at each station, providing more space for commuters.
The 6.21pm service from Great Victoria Street station will now end at Portadown while the 6.41pm train will run express to Lisburn, then operate all stops to Newry.

There will also be increased capacity for those socialising in Belfast on Saturday evening, with a new 10.22pm service from Lanyon Place to Newry. The 10.11pm departure from Great Victoria Street will terminate at Lisburn. A 9.22pm departure from Belfast, Lanyon Place, will operate express to Lisburn, then Moira, Lurgan and Portadown.
On the Bangor line commuters heading to Belfast can choose to travel on a new early morning train, which departs Bangor at 6.57am, calling all stops to Lanyon Place.
The 6.45am departure to Portadown is being replaced by a 6.51am Bangor to Great Victoria Street service.
There is also more capacity for evening commuters with two additional express services from Lanyon Place to Bangor at 6.30 and 6.50pm
A new all stops service from Lanyon Place to Bangor at 6.35pm replaces the previous through service from Portadown which left Lanyon Place at 6.42pm.
On the Derry line NI Railways will be operating six carriage trains on weekend services.
The 5.50am service from Coleraine to Belfast will terminate at Lanyon Place station, where passengers can make onward connections.
Last year, NI Railways carried 15.8million passenger journeys, an increase of 5.6% on the previous year and the highest in its 50-year history.
