OCO Global celebrate new office opening in Frankfurt

Belfast-based trade consultancy firm OCO Global has led a delegation of 10 business leaders from Northern Ireland to Frankfurt to celebrate the opening of its office in Germany's financial capital.

Delegates included Martin Hamilton from family-run food manufacturer, Mash Direct, Noel McKenna of Titan IC Systems, supplier of hardware engines and Bernard Eoghain Sloan, from the Whitewater Brewery.

Dr Joachim Arnold who has 12 years' experience in the field of international trade and foreign investment will head up the German office of OCO Global.

Dr Arnold has supported a range of foreign companies enter the German market across sectors such as food and consumer products.

Tuesday night's grand opening was attended by over 50 guests, with delegates invited to learn more about opportunities for Northern Ireland's leading companies to grow within both the German and EU market.

Speaking afterwards, deputy chief executive at OCO Global, Gareth Hagan said: "Germany is Europe's economic hub and constitutes more than a fifth of total European GDP and is home to 82 million consumers.

"Germany is likely to consolidate its position as a European economic powerhouse and we are seeing a surge in foreign companies seeking to secure and expand their European business base in Germany."

He continued: "The opening of our new office in Frankfurt will enhance our presence in the largest, most affluent country in Europe and ensure OCO Global is best placed to help companies in a wide range of sectors growing within the EU."
