Onecom secures major deal with fast-growing FinTrU
Fintech firm FinTrU has signed up to a new telecoms provider in a six-figure deal for its Belfast and Londonderry offices.
Onecom, which has been operating in Northern Ireland for two years, will be providing telecoms services for five years to FinTrU, one of the province's fastest-growing firms.
The telecoms firm said it had grown turnover to over £2m since setting up here in January 2017.
Paul Lawther, head of Onecom NI, said: "This is a significant deal for Onecom as our Belfast office heads towards its second anniversary. Last year we secured significant contracts with a number of new customers such as the Irish Football Association (IFA) and Concern Worldwide.
"FinTrU is one of the most exciting companies to come out of Northern Ireland in recent years and we're delighted to have secured this new partnership. There is a good synergy between both companies who demonstrate an entrepreneurial nature with customers at their core."
He said Onecom had a "significant pipeline" of agreements for 2019.
FinTrU was set up five years ago to make it easier for global investment banks to meet their regulatory requirements. It now has 330 staff in Belfast and Londonderry.
