Power NI in £25m boost for Antrim

By Staff Reporter

Electricity supplier Power NI has said it's invested over £25m in Antrim since opening its base in the area five years ago.

The company, which is part of Viridian plc and Northern Ireland's biggest supplier of electricity, said it had grown its workforce at its operational site in Antrim Technology Park from 40 to 125.

In total, Power NI employs 250 people at three sites in the province.

Managing director Stephen McCully said: "As Power NI remains Northern Ireland's largest energy supplier, we constantly look at how we can strengthen our relationship with our existing and new customers. We believe excellent customer service is key to customer loyalty."

He added: "This commitment to ever improving our service proposition locally and into other markets is why we have plans for further expansion over the coming year."
