He is a former senior journalist and producer for the BBC and RTE, and also worked as SDLP director of communications.
Mr Turley said: "After 16 years working with a range of business and third sector clients, the time had come for a new challenge and I'm delighted to be joining Dalradian Gold."
Dalradian managing director Brian Kelly added: "Dalradian is working to develop the local economy, to build a prosperous future for the people of the local area here in west Tyrone and more widely and we look forward to Barry's contribution to bringing this goal forward."
