The Belfast home of cosmetics firm Lush, which is moving to new premises, has already drawn two potential new occupants days after going on the market.

Lush is vacating the shop at 12 Castle Lane in September and moving to a bigger unit on the same street.

Castle Lane has enjoyed an upsurge in new shops in recent years, helped by its proximity to Arthur Street and Victoria Square Shopping Centre.

It's now home to Patisserie Valerie and Greggs, as well as suit firm Moss Bros, clothes shop Stradivarius, fancy goods store Flying Tiger Copenhagen and stationery business Smiggle.

Brian Kidd, a partner at commercial property agents Frazer Kidd, which is letting out the shop at an undisclosed rent, said: "We've already had two expressions of interest from a UK retailer, one already in the province and the other not yet here.

"Hopefully we'll secure someone fairly promptly.

"This is the only vacant unit at this point of time on Castle Lane."

He added that the street's offering had strengthened.

"It's a link route between old prime of Donegall Place and new prime of Arthur Street," he said.
