A fresh look is needed at Northern Ireland setting its own corporation tax rate, it’s been claimed, as a report sets out the advantages of the Executive seeking new fiscal powers.

The Independent Fiscal Commission for NI has said it will consider how viable it would be for NI to assume control over taxes such as income tax and alcohol and tobacco duties, in order to raise funds independently of Westminster.
