A house priced at £20,000, half an acre of land starting from £12,000 and an £85,000 end terrace in the sought-after Stranmillis area are all up for grabs at an upcoming property auction.

The Osborne King auction, which will take place at 11am on October 20 at the Clayton Hotel, Ormeau Avenue, will see shops, offices and residential properties auctioned off.

Mark Carron, director at Osborne King said he expects the combined value of all 63 lots at the auction to be around £5.5m. He said: "We are currently experiencing a high volume of interest and offers on lots in the catalogue and expect the sale to go very well. Our June auction was very successful, raising over £11.6m and our biggest auction sale since 2007. We intend to hold an additional 2017 auction on December 1 and are currently collating properties for this catalogue. This catalogue will be released in early November."

The lowest priced lot in the October auction is over half an acre of land in Clough, Ballymena. Accessed via a laneway off the Glenleslie Road and priced at £12,000, the land was once approved planning permission for a house and garage. Potential buyers are encouraged to pursue further planning opportunities.

Shops in the catalogue include a former Gino Casuals store. The property at 8-10 Bryan Street, Ballymena has a starting price of £60,000. At Pilot's View, just off Heron Road, and three miles from George Best Belfast City Airport, a semi-detached two-storey office building with on-site parking is also going for auction with a starting price of £56,000. The offices are 4,000 sq ft in size and are said to be located in one of Northern Ireland's premier office and industrial locations.

And in Londonderry a terrace of 15 one-bed apartments are for sale, priced from £375,000. These properties can generate £56,000 in rental fees a year, according to the property agency.

Meanwhile, in Newtownabbey a three-bedroom semi-detached house with a starting price of £20,000 and a potential yearly rental income of £5,400 is for sale. And in Stranmillis, a two-bedroom end terrace property will go up for auction starting at £85,000.

Lambert Smith Hampton will also be hosting a property auction this Friday at the Europa Hotel.
