Active Health: The new clinic will offer a holistic service to keep people active and healthy

Active Health, a back pain and headache clinic in North Down has opened its second practice with support from Danske Bank.

The business, which offers podiatry and physio services, received £65,000 from the bank to support its new enterprise in Springhill Retail Park in Bangor.

The clinic initially opened in March 2020 ahead of the first government lockdown but was then forced to close, reopening again in June when it was able to offer its range of services as an essential service.

David and Rachel Saligari are behind the business and opened their first clinic in 2007 in Holywood after returning from living in Australia.

Ms Saligari, co-founder of Active Health said she is recruiting more staff to meet demand. She said: "We provide a holistic service to keep people active and healthy, and it has become clear during the pandemic that this has never been more important. The support Danske Bank has provided allowed us to open the second clinic and continue to provide high quality care for our customers across North Down."

Gareth Kerr, business manager at Danske Bank said: "Active Health is a great example of the dynamic businesses in Northern Ireland coming up with creative initiatives to provide for its customers, even during the pandemic. We're delighted that they are embarking on the next stage of their journey."
