Templepatrick development site on sale

Commerical Property

By Christine Carrigan

A development site in Templepatrick, with full planning permission for 13 homes, is going on the market.

The approximately 1.8-acre site, described as having "generous road frontage", is in the Parkgate area of the village, 12 miles from Belfast city centre.

The plans propose 13 two-storey dwellings, broken down into three detached and 10 semi-detached houses on land between numbers one to 15 Parkgate Road.

Meanwhile, Northern Ireland house builder Braidwater has reported that demand for family homes in Belfast is high. The developer, which launched its Castlehill development on the Ballygowan Road just eight weeks ago, is already releasing additional homes - weeks ahead of schedule.

The developer said demand for the three or four-bedroom homes was high as purchasers queued overnight for the initial release of properties at Simon Brien Residential on the Lisburn Road.

Braidwater's marketing manager Darren Farnan said: "We are delighted with the record levels of interest we have received for our latest collection of family homes at Castlehill, well before even having a show home built.

A professionally designed show home at Castlehill will be officially launched on Sunday, October 7.
