Tourism NI aims 'to grow sector to £1bn by 2020'

Tourism NI boss John McGrillen says it's aiming to help create a £1bn industry here by 2020.

He was speaking as the organisation revealed it has taken on public relations firm Jago Communications to work on consumer issues both here and in the Republic.

"I am confident that the team at Jago Communications has the experience, energy and expertise to assist us with our plans and encourage even more visitors to experience why Northern Ireland is a must-see destination," he said.

Shona Jago-Curtis, director of Jago Communications, said: "We are delighted to have won the Tourism NI consumer PR brief and are passionate about bringing Northern Ireland products and experiences to life for consumers in both traditional media and the digital arena."
