Trespass adding new jobs with shopping centre store

By John Mulgrew

Outdoor clothing chain Trespass is creating five jobs with a new store in Co Londonderry.

The company, which already has around a dozen stores across Northern Ireland, is opening up at Meadowlane Shopping Centre in Magherafelt.

The new store will join a number of other retailers, such as River Island, New Look and Costa.

The shopping centre is owned by EML Meadowlane Ltd, and the new letting was jointly acquired by Lisney and Lambert Smith Hampton.

Andrew Knox, surveyor at Lisney Belfast, said: "We are delighted to welcome Trespass to Meadowlane and help facilitate the chain's expansion in Northern Ireland."

And Jonathan McKinney, asset manager at EML Meadowlane Ltd, said the arrival of Trespass has "built upon a strong retail line up which is already home to many household retail brands".

Tony Kernan, who is an associate director at Lambert Smith Hampton, said: "The opening of Trespass further extends the retail offering within the scheme, providing for a sector which was previously unrepresented in the centre."
