Ulster University students off to US to rein in investors
Students from Ulster University are in the US to pitch new equestrian products to potential investors.
Product and design student Jenny Gregg (21), who's also an international horsewoman, has created a new girth for horses with an in-built pressure relief system which makes it more comfortable to wear.
Now she has travelled with fellow students to Philadelphia to show the product to investors as part of the Maguire Hegarty LLC International University Student Pitch-Off Competition.
The business development team set up a business, Crafted Equestrian, and have patented the horse girth product in a bid to bring it to market.
Jenny created the girth for her horse Elvis, who had suffered from blisters, known as 'girth galls'.
