The Institute of Directors has launched its 2020 Women's Leadership Conference with the theme 'Leading the Way'.

The event, which will take place on March 6 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, is expected to attract 450 delegates who will hear from a "community of inspiring and innovative leaders".

And the conference's 4k Pitch Competition for start-up firms will also feature.

Among the speakers will be astrophysicist Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell, journalist and disability rights activist Joanne O'Riordan and Breege O'Donoghue, matriarch of Penneys and Primark.

Kirsty McManus, IoD NI national director, said: "For 2020, we've taken the theme 'Leading the Way' and that's exactly what our speakers are doing."
