Young women's network is set up

Ulster Bank

Women in Business has linked up with Ulster Bank to establish a new network for younger women.

The Young Women's Network, open to those aged 18-25, is described as a platform for mutual encouragement and education.

There is an annual membership fee of £20 to join the programme, which Women in Business said would provide professional tools and networking opportunities.

Claire Gallagher, head of membership at Women in Business, said: "Young people under 25 years of age are critical to the future economic development of our economy.

"Empowering young people to establish and grow their careers or set up their own business is part of the solution."

Joanne Wilson, customer experience lead at Ulster Bank, said: "Supporting female entrepreneurship is a key priority for our teams across the business and we have introduced a series of measures to support women and their businesses through our Entrepreneur Accelerator Programme and the Back Her Business initiative."
