“We are absolutely over the moon with this bronze award,” Ms Hickey said.
“We have only just released this, our second cheese, in early October, after aging it for four months in special rooms to mature and develop its unique flavour.”
The cheese inspired by the evening sun is a pasteurised cows’ milk cheese which is matured and ripened for four months and then coated with a charcoal ash rind to contribute both flavour and protection to the cheese.
Tamnagh Foods has been developing their cheese range over the past two years.
Sperrin Blue cheese and the Dart Mt. Dusk S were released during 2014 and a further three products will be release next year.
