Belfast firm Zenith Network obtains new clients in major deal
A Belfast IT company has expanded its operations by acquiring the clients of another business.
Zenith Networks, which is based on Newtownards Road, said the deal with GSL in Larne was its third major acquisition in recent years.
It also bought over Lyle Distribution in Dromore, Co Down.
Zenith managing director Martin Lyons said his company had been growing for the last year, and had moved into new premises. And acquiring the GSL client base had been "mutually beneficial".
"We have been expanding our own client base quite significantly both in the geographic areas in which we operate and in the sectors where we have specialisms.
"For example we now deliver on the IT needs of quite a significant percentage of the hospitality market across Northern Ireland. We now service the IT needs of 10 leading hotels including a number in the North West which is a growing tourism market."
He said clients were serving customers on a global basis, with their systems managed from its base at Portview Trade Centre.

Zenith has recently signed new deals with the Beannchor Group, Victoria Square Shopping Centre and Eastside Partnership in east Belfast.
And Mr Lyons said the firm had been in the process of finalising another acquisition when the GSL deal came up. "With the GSL deal now complete and bedded down we can focus on the other live acquisition prospect, while also growing our customer base organically in Northern Ireland and beyond...
"We are right where we need to be and the GSL acquisition goes a long way to securing our status as a leading independent IT service provider in NI.''
