Facebook to tell you when you're drunk
A hangover is rarely improved by the sudden realisation that the previous night's revelry was chronicled on social media.
But Facebook is working on an "intelligent digital assistant" that will be able to tell if you are drunk in a picture and politely suggest you rethink publishing the image.
Professor Yann LeCun, who runs the Facebook Artificial Intelligence Research lab, said his team were working on new image-recognition technology that can tell when someone is drunk and when they are sober.
The photos would not be banned, but the Facebook assistant would try to stop the user from doing something they regret.
Professor LeCun said it might say: "Uh, this is being posted publicly. Are you sure you want your boss and your mother to see this?"
