Irish granny tries virtual reality headset for first time

This granny is not a fan of her first experience with virtual reality.

Poor Ettie Carroll was coaxed into using a Virtualis VR headset by her grand-nephew Ryan and she doesn't seem to be enjoying it at all/

"Mother of God almight. Are there such a things as these in the world?" she asks, referring to the roller coaster she was 'riding'.

"Oh, mother of God, my chair is moving. I've lost five stone. Oh no, 'tis stopping. Oh no, 'tis going again. Are you sure there is a thing like this in the world?

"This'd give you a heart attack. I think I'm flying through the world now."

Ryan is part of Citsoc, a student-based organisation which is trying to make virtual reality more accessible and affordable.

If you'd like to see what Ettie had to go through, you can find out more about the Virtualis here.

The video has been viewed more than 39,000 times since it went live on Monday.
