Northern Ireland software firm Thrive targets one million users after £2.75m boost
A Belfast software firm which counts media giant HBO among its clients has won investment which it says will help it increase its users four-fold to one million.
Thrive, which provides employee communications software and support, is also creating 10 new jobs in marketing, software development and customer care.
Clients include councils, healthcare companies, manufacturing businesses, food firms and retailers.
The company's platform allows organisations to create native iPhone and Android apps as well as responsive web apps.
Now it has won new funding from Halo Business Angel Network (HBAN), Co-Fund II and private investors. In total, £2.75m has been invested by shareholders.
The business now has 250,000 licenced users.
It has won major new clients this year, including US media corporation HBO, Santos Brasil, the largest port operator in Latin America, and Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council.

Managing director James Scott said: "We are seeing organisations all over the world waking up to the strong business benefits of good employee comms.
"With the vast majority of people now carrying a smartphone, it makes an app the perfect way to connect with employees.
"We've designed the Thrive platform to be so easy to use that organisations can be up and running and improving the way they communicate and share information with employees in no time."
Stephen Gunning, co-founder and chairman, said the investment would enable the firm to activate a five-year growth plan to expand its customer base in the UK, Ireland and overseas.
